Whenever my team comes up against zone defence my players stand still, pass ball, run 21, 22, 23 seconds on shot clock and shoot prayer. I cannot get them to move, penetrate, attack. Any ideas?

The lead guard has to get the ball to your center in the paint as efficiently as possible and if covered or double team dish it out to the side for a quick shot. Disrupt the defense by constantly challenging their set up. Once you score several baskets their confidence starts to shake. have your offense be aggresive not complacent.

Hi !
First of all you didn't write what age are your players and I think that's very important in developing team-tactics !!!

But beside that I think that you should first teach your players to play against zone taking advantage of alignment , for example : 2:3 zone - you should set 3:2 zone attack to provide advantage in the first line.
Players should read the defense and look for an open spot on the floor (in zone defense there is always one) and I don't mean running X's and O's like coach told them. Youth players have to make their own decisions on the court.

Hi, first start with 4 on 4 with 2-2 zone and show the players what hapend with panetration of players with and without the ball and with seting the strong side and than move the ball to the week side of the defense.

Hello, use a offense in which all players are forced to move. E.g. the cutters system or a weave offense.

Also i think itīs more important to move into the right spots rather than moving to much.
If you can move the defense (and therefore the ball) efficient you should be able to score against zone defenses.
