Who has ideas or suggestions on how to vary in teaching defending on the ball, one on one?
Also has anyone suggestions for good and exciting drills to teach ball-denial?

maybe you can create a drill and give me the name. thanks

Try reading the book of Burrel Paye. It is an excellent book of M-t-M defence. Ir covers all the aspect of on the ball and off the ball defence.

First your players must make good fundamental footwork. That's most important. This you must practice every day. One on One is the best if you make drills wher you tell the offense player witch moves to make in the start, so you control the movement. next give the defender some goals like not to let offense player panetrate to the basket.. no mater what( he can shoot but not get to the basket)

I let my players play 1 on 1 half and full court, defense must always pressure the ball and force the offensive player to pick up the ball in a area where she cann't take a shoot. Offenive player must use her on creativiteit to attack the basket and score.
