I am a coach in Canada and we are going through implementation of FIBA rules in our club program. I have a question relating to shot clocks and the age of introduction of these in your programs in europe. I would like to get an idea of what age group you introduce shot clocks into the game? Do you use a stepped procedure or do you go directly to 24 seconds as the senior game plays? For instance do you introduce shot clocks at age 14 and give the kids 45 seconds instead of 24. I would like to get an idea from as many countries as possible so if you have a different system in your country please explain it to me. Thanks.
I ref games up to senior level and the shot clock is only implemented at the senior level. But it can be specified in the rules of the tournament. See the organizer.
