Graphic N°: 1 The Tulsa Flare is a play against a 2-3 zone defence. It creates gaps for penetration or posting up.
Graphic N°: 2 O1 starts the play by passing the ball to O2. O3 sets a flare screen for O1 who cuts to the helpside wing. O2 makes a skip pass to O1.
Graphic N°: 3 Post option:
If X3 comes out to prevent the shot by O1, O4 sets a screen for O5 who cuts to the ballside low post. O4 rolls to the middle.
Graphic N°: 4 Baseline penetration option:
If X3 comes out to prevent the shot by O1, O1 can drive baseline and attack the basket. O4 in this case steps to the high post. O5 has to seal his defender. O2 and O3 spot up.
Graphic N°: 5 Middle penetration option:
If X3 comes out to prevent the shot by O1 but denies him baseline penetration, O1 can drive over the middle. O2 spots up.
