Description
Picture 1: The drill begins with six players positioned as shown. O1 begins the drill with a cross court pass to O3. On the pass, O2 runs to the basket. O3 then passes to the corner to O5, who passes to O2 who is cutting to the basket for a layup. After the pass O5 rebounds the ball and passes the ball to O6. O6 continues the drill with a cross court pass to O4. All players rotate anti-clockwise as shown in Picture 2. This is a continuous drill with no dribbling.
Goals / purpose / skills
This is a warm up drill in which players practice their passing skills, rebounding and footwork.
Variations
The ball movement could be changed to practice layups with the other hand.
Tips / Hints / Emphasis
Emphasis should be placed on good passing and no missed layups. On bad passes, missed layups or a dribble the coach could place some penalties.
