Description
Two Guards are on the base line. One is in offence the other is in defence. Centers (offensive and defensive) are on the free throw line. Coach is (with the ball) on the wing opposite the players. A downscreen is set by the center. If the offensive guard manages to take the ball, than the players start to play 2 on 2, without screens. When the offence is over, offensive players change to defensive and a new pair comes on, to play offence. This drill is played in pairs, and there should be 5 or 6 of them. It’s done with one ball.

Goals / purpose / skills
It’s a very simple drill for showing the vertical screen.
Variations
This drill can be modified for horizontal screens also.
Tips / Hints / Emphasis
Players have to try to follow the rules of defence against screens, which I explained earlier in text. The rule of this drill is that there are no other screens or P&R game.
