Description Start under a basket, touch the rim. Back pedal to the free throw line. Defensive slide to the left sideline. Defensive slide to the opposite sideline. Defensive slide to the hash mark on the opposite sideline. Defensive slide to free throw line. Turn and sprint to the corner in the same direction. Sprint to the opposite basket, where the drill commenced.

Variations Go in the opposite direction after backpedalling, so the crosscourt defensive slides and sprints will be in the opposite direction.
Tips / Hints / Emphasis Make sure players are staying low and going as fast as possible. Make them yell while they are running the drill.
