Description Use two groups of 4 / 5 / 6 players. The players stand at the corners. We place 6 cones - 4 on the elbows and 2 at the half court line. The players use different types off dribbles (behind the back, between the legs, crossover, fake crossover, hesitation, inside / out, change of pace, reverse spin) and then shoot a layup.
Goals / purpose / skills Ballhandling, dribbling, and is a great offensive drill. We practice shooting layups.
Variations We can shoot a jump shoot. Another variation is that instead of cones we use defenders.
Tips / Hints / Emphasis Make the dribble moves quick. Stay with eyes and head on the basket, and do not look down at the ball.
