Description
Baseline dribble penetration can be double-teamed by the dribbler's defender and the ball side post player. The help side post must slide over quickly to pick up the post player vacated by the trapping post defender, while in this case, the help side wing defender drops down to defend the help side post player. In this situation, the help side post player is less of a threat since he is nearly two passes away.
Goals / purpose / skills
You can drill this with either a 3v3 drill, or by adding the opposite wing defender (4v4 drill). You can run this drill in conjunction with the Defending Pass into Low Post drill.
