Description
The team is divided in to two groups, one group at each end of the court. Two players will be at half court to begin the drill. On a singal from the coach, the two players (O1 & O4) dribble down the court, shoot a right-handed layup, rebound their own shot and pass the ball to the next player who sprints to the half court line. The next player in the line cannot leave until the shooter begins his shot. This drill will last 5 minutes and the team should score at least 60 layups.
Goals / purpose / skills
This drill is for children. Here they learn in a competitive game to concentrate on their dribbling and their scoring.
Variations
Increase the score up to 100 points.
Switch direction for left-handed layups.
Tips / Hints / Emphasis
