Description
The players are paired up. Each pair has one ball. The player without the ball executes a cut to get open and receives the pass. The pass is caught in the air and ends with a one step stop by the receiver. Now the passer executes a good cut to get open and receives a pass in the air and finishes with a one step stop. The drill continues until the coach ends it.
Goals / purpose / skills
This drill is for children to improve their passing and catching skills.
Variations
For higher level players, the players could run the drill with passing off the dribble and passing after backdoor cuts are made.
Tips / Hints / Emphasis
The players should make good cuts to get open. After receiving the pass in the air, the players should get in position to make the next pass.
